hey guys.. i just got admitted to hillsdale... an i am totally at sea... it seems i have forgotten everything tat i'd read bout the college... can someone help me? i havent received my acceptance letter yet.. only an email... is all the information in the letter???

Yes, it was for my son, and it included the housing forms and medical forms etc.

Okay. That’s great. Because no matter how hard I searched I couldn’t find much information on their website. With me being an international student I am really anxious and nervous.

Not to worry if you have any questions just email them, they are quick to respond.

I have mailed them, yet to receive a response though.

You can fill this infomation on line by going to their webb and opening the page for Admissions, then going to admitted students and then to Required Forms.
They probably wont email you back till Monday because its past 5 pm

There was no class on Friday and also today. So, it’s possible the offices were also closed. What specific questions do you have about the school? Perhaps some people here could answer some of them for you. It’s an incredible school, by the way.

Thing is, I had only received an email about my admission decision. I haven’t received my package yet. I want to know how much I have to pay as the enrolment deposit and whether I will be receiving my visa forms with my package now. And yeah, it would be great if I could speak to some current students in the school. :)

I don’t know if the rules are different for internationals, but the deposit is usually $200. I am sure admissions can hook you up with some of the intl or American students, if that is what you need.

Good luck!

I am looking forward to that. How long would it take for the package to reach me, esp with me being an international?

What country?

My suggestion that you make a list of all your questions and then email them to your admissions counselor. Be specific; don’t just ask, “What’s the job market for kids in Michigan?” But ask: “I plan to graduate with a degree in XXXX and would like to speak to someone in career counselling. Here are my specific quesitons: …” Of course, Hillsdale is dedicated to the Liberal ARts (read their mission statement) and while they want you to be successful in life, they really want you to be EDUCATED.

I am from India. I did mail my counselor about my package and she says it’s on the way.

And sure, I will mail her about it. Thanks for the suggestion :)
