Anyone have any idea how to get a Duke 2010 car decal/sticker? Wouldn’t mind one of those to match the stickers all my others friends have from their colleges. I read somewhere on here that they were sent to ED students. I’m accepted RD.

What kind of preferences do we get to state about our roommates lifestyles when we go about filling out housing? I’m basically going to Duke alone from my city so I don’t know a single soul. Just wanna make sure I can end up with someone I can live with (non smoker, etc).

I received my decal after I sent my deposit and was thus "officially" enrolled. (I was ED)

You state smoking preference, whether or not you go to bed late/wake up early, whether or not you listen to music when you study. . . there might be a few more but I can't remember

I think alex mentioned most of the questions. If you want you can look for a roommate on facebook/the Duke website. I remember a lot of people doing that last year.

really?? people choose their own roommate based on facebook now? weird

It was actually recommended by RLHS for rising sophomores. :p It's how I found my roommate for next year. On her profile I saw that she was friends with a bunch of people I was close to in elementary/middle school. Turns out she's from my area and her brother goes to my high school.

I'm not sure I'd want to do that as a freshman though. I feel like rooming with a complete stranger is a rite of passage. Of course, it's not one I actually went through, seeing as my 'random' roommate went to my HS.
