just a basic Greek rush question...

I am thinking of rushing for one of our fraternities this semester. I've looked at the rush schedule already. I know that for girls, the Panhellenic sororities had a recruitment orientation yesterday night already. But am somewhat confused at the fraternity ones.

I've heard that many colleges do rush in the first few weeks of school, but ours do not appear to do that. There is a meet & greet next week, and some sports/foods events the following 3 weeks after that. I got an email from our IFC that recruitment start in September, but the school's Greek Life calendar did not list a fraternity rush date (but did for sororities).

I've seen articles from some reputable Greek Life advise websites and forums, and many of them said that fraternity rush is already over for them. So am concern that I might have missed my school's rush/recruitment times. My college's Greek calendar don't really help, and the one person I've emailed gave me some cryptic answers...

It's already the 2nd week of class...

You obviously didn’t look very hard. A quick google search and 5 minutes on the UConn IFC website turned up this link to register for 2012 men’s IFC recruitment:

It also appears this event is scheduled for next week: IFC Meet and Greet: Thursday, September 6, 5-7pm.
