just a question

just as Wash U has made a commitment to return to its historic size for its class size, why has Northwestern gone to the opposite end. It now plants to have a class size around 2025, rather than 1920-1950, which was the size for many years. Like, why does it want to increase the size by this amount. I see this only as a burden. It fills the halls more, fills up classes more...What are the benefits of this?

question. Are they expanding starting this year with the class of 2011 or next year? I'd be very happy if the numbers reflected this year weren't the ones with the expansion included... I'd like to have the highest chances possible next year and every little bit helps =]

Are they planning on building more halls or making new programs? If not, I don't know why they would expand either...

more $$$ ??

Just a guess.

this is not something that NU publishes. I just have seen in the recent article in the paper, where it was reported that the class was expected to have a class size of 2025. 1950 was always the target size.
