Just a quick Chance me? Thank you!

Hello Everyone!

My SAT 2’s suck…I’m now studying for them though…

I took 4 AP’s during Junior year and 2 honors. I received the following on the tests (it’s ugly)
Chem: 2
US History: 2
language: 5
Spanish: 3
My senior year also consists of 4 AP’s
For my EC/Community Service…
-2 years volunteering at a health clinic as a facilitator.
-A paid internship for an environmental technology company
-I’m confirmed in the catholic church (not sure if this is appreciated)
-volunteered at church
-attended the family giving tree event each year.
-Probably have around 150+ volunteering hours.
-I have been in the math club for 3 years
-I have a math award for both geometry and ag/calc
-Volunteered at a chinese culture fair (I’m a quarter chinese!)
-CSF for 2.5 years

I’m applying to UCLA, Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCSD, Cal Poly SLO, etc.
I’m particularly interested in my chances at UCLA (I know it’s a stretch), UC Davis (My number one choice!), and Cal Poly SLO
Intended Major: Civil Engineering

I would also like to know exactly how important the SAT 2’s are. I understand that many UC’s still recommend them (so I’m assuming they are important). But I’m more interested in UC Davis. I’ve heard that Davis doesn’t even recommend them. How important are the SAT 2’s to UC Davis?

Thank you for all the help! It is greatly appreciated!!

I think you have a pretty good chance (my father went to Davis  ) for many of your schools. Berkeley might be a bit of a reach. Also, your chances will most likely be significantly better if you are a Californian, seeing that the acceptance rate to Californians schools are unpredictable right now (my friend got into Harvard and Princeton but not UCLA). I don’t know much about the weighing of the SATs on your application, but for the public schools it should be kind of big.
Also, for intending to major in engineering your math scores a bit low.
Overall, I think you have a fair chance for an acceptance to Davis :)

Thank you Rina! I am a Californian! So that’s good news! Now i just have to work on those SAT 2’s!
