Just a quick note

Hey guys!

So today's the day that a lot of you have all been waiting for, or have been dreading to see. I'm not here to address those who got accepted: you all have many more compliments to come. I'm here to talk to those who won't be entering BS next year.

Though I've never experienced this type of rejection, I'm here to say that Prep School really isn't everything you want: It really isn't. Though there are some major perks, the system is in fact flawed. That is why I'm telling EVERYONE WHO READS THIS that boarding school won't change your life drastically, nor will it guarantee any success. Most students who become successful after coming to a BS probably would have been in the same position had they gone to their previous school. My advice to those who didn't get accepted this time around is to work with what you have and make the best out of it! Get yourself involved in community service, extra-curricular clubs at school, or student leadership positions. Take the most rigorous courses you can ( don't let the school's course of study deter your academic potential!! #onlinecourses). And finally, believe in yourself. Don't let a stupid piece of paper deter you from becoming who you have the potential to be. It isn't the school that determines your future, but rather yourself.

Best of luck,

Wise words. This is good for college as well.

Thank you  This really softened the blow from Andover’s waitlist/rejection (just called FedEx- they confirmed I have no package from Andover)

Great, level-headed post, swimdude.

Bumpppppppppopp
