Just a rambling idea from my head

I think I'm kind of interested in bankruptcy and tax law (no, it's not M&A or litigation, but demand is stable, and it's not totally boring unlike, say, trusts and estates). I was thinking about getting a JD and then LLM in tax but I didn't really want to get two law degrees so I thought about getting a JD and MAcc and then sitting for the CPA (unfortunately, my search for MAcc programs turns up 1 from top15 law schools....U of M, and PhD programs are absolutely of no use to me). Would I be wasting my time/money/sanity trying to go for a degree that won't help me in the long run?
