does people take ap classes that is related to the college major they want to be?? For example/// I want to be a doctor so I will take AP biology, AP chemistry...etc. Do people really do this?? and would it be helpful??? getting college credits for classes like AP French, AP european history, AP History, would be helpful in college even it is not realted to your major. When you pass an AP class does it mean you don't need to take that class in college? or do you just go to a higher class???

Do people take APs that are related to the major they plan on? Is this helpful?

1) Yes, if available.
2) Yes, since even if the college doesn’t give credit, it still exposes you to the subject at a college level, which will be helpful for future classes.

When you pass an AP class, does it mean you don’t need to take that class in college? Or do you just go to a higher class?

This depends on the college; see [this page](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board) to find a particular college’s policy on AP exams. In most colleges and for most AP exams, they will give you credit for the class (meaning you don’t have to take it) and placement (meaning that you can take a higher-level class if you want).
