<p>Hello college confidential-ers! I'm a rising senior and would be extremely happy if you could chance me. :)</p>

<p>GPA: 3.89 unweighted, not sure weighted, but I have taken every class in honors that was available to me.</p>

<p>Class Crank: top 10%</p>

<p>APs: Have taken APUSH, will take French, Psychology, and Government</p>

<p>SAT: 2140 first time taken (700 math, 690 writing, 750 critical reading)... will study and retake.</p>

<p>SAT IIs: 740 in literature, 750 in US History</p>

<p>ACT: 32 first time taking w/o studying. again, will study and retake. (35 english, 35 reading, 30 math, 27 science -yikes-)</p>

<p>Extra-curriculars: very weak, i know. 3 years varsity sport, 3 years another sport (2 yrs jv, 1 varsity), member of club against violence, member of student leadership academy, 1 year member of student council.</p>

<p>Essays will most likely be about how I've moved around a lot from coast to coast and had to adapt and how it made me a better person.</p>

<p>I attend a decent MA public school that sent 3 (out of a class of 180) to Ivies this year.</p>

<p>I think that you’re probably in for most of them, though BC can be tricky sometimes. However, UNC Chapel Hill is definitely a reach along with Duke. Stanford…well, it’s a reach for everyone. I think that you have a decent shot of getting into Duke, but UNC less so because you’re OOS.</p>

<p>Oh, I forgot to mention that both parents and both grandfathers attended Boston College. So hopefully that gives me the edge I need. :)</p>

<p>your GPA and SAT score are only average. so i’m guessing that 99% odds are you’ll be rejected by stanford. sorry :frowning:
as for the rest of the schools, everything seems a match except for UNC Chapel and Duke, which are reaches for you. the ECs are also a bit weak which might hurt :frowning: write good essays though and you should be okay, 50/50 shot at both those places

<p>i think stanford and duke look more more ap’s than number that u have taken. try boosting sat to 2200+ and yur chances for em should be better.
