<p>Which school is better academically... UT Austin or Texas Tech</p>
<p>In my field,at least, Austin— by a very great amount.</p>
<p>UT Austin … by a long shot.</p>
<p>Tech has a good honors program with small classes. However, UTexas is considered to be academically superior. I think Tech provides an excellent education and certainly is doing great in football this year!</p>
<p>Which school has a better academic reputation with employers/grad schools/pro schools? Texas. Which school will provide a better academic experience for your cherub? Lots of factors come into play with academic reputation being only one. </p>
<p>Texas Tech was the only school my D applied to in Texas and she was an auto-qualifier/auto-scholarship kid. She applied there as a financial safety and for a particular academic program.</p>
<p>Plan II at Texas is among the finest Honors “experiences” anywhere. You can have the other 39 acres.
