It’s okay, I totally blew at Chemistry too. For whatever reason, I can understand the fundamentals of calc 3, thermodynamics, magnetism, etc etc etc but I can’t for the life of me figure out ANYTHING within the Chemistry spectrum. I guess it just doesn’t mesh well with some people’s brains.

I had to take both chem 1 and chem 2 for my major (civil engineering) and I got a C in both chem 1 (first C of my entire life) and chem 2. For the chem 1 final I took adderall (sp?) and studied for about 15 hours and STILL failed it. For my chem 2 final I figured it’d make absolutely no difference whether I studied or not, so I went out the night before and took my final hungover and got a 45% on it, making my average in the class .5% above passing.

So yea, Chemistry pretty much killed my gpa, I’d have nearly a 4.0 if it weren’t for those 2 wretched semesters, but I still have a 3.5 so whatever.

End mini rant.

Lol, I almost didn’t believe that for a minute. I’m a Civil Engg freshman here (first semester) and I’m having the very same problem. I’ve done Calc BC in high school, Physics C: Mech and E&M in high school, and many other random APs. ALL of that makes sense, and I’m on a 68% in my first semester chemistry class here. This is basically a slightly dumbed down and more analytical version of AP Chem (which a lot of my peers did in junior yr of high school), and I’m still sucking at it.
I feel its a completely pointless and stupid subject (don’t get me wrong, I can very much see all its usefulness and real world applications and blah…blah…blah) and a waste of time. I can’t believe I scored in the bottom 25% of the class. People who are undecided about majors and are sure they don’t wanna go into the sciences are acing it with 90%, whereas me, a random civil engg freshman who gets everything in the world except chemistry, fails it miserably.

sigh, this sucks.
sorry for the rant hijack.
