So I should probably withdraw my apps to other colleges, right? I really couldn’t care less about any of the other schools I applied to, but I think it would still be fun to see where I get in.
Either way, I don’t care. PSU has been my dream school for the longest time now!! We Are!
Penn State!! Congrats! And yes, it would be nice to withdraw your other appreciations so another student might get an acceptance.
@tornandfrayed , just make sure your parents are okay with cost. PSU doesn’t give a lot of aid. Some accepted kids drop out when they learn they are getting nothing. Maybe keep one instate school as a backup?
Yes, if you are certain about the finances, you can withdraw the rest of your apps. Penn State is pricey even in-state compared to other state flagships, so double check with your parents. If you are waiting for your FA package, hold off. If you didn’t apply for FA, go over the appropriate in-state or out of state costs – tuition, room & board, and fees with them. Even parents that you think are okay with it can backtrack at the last minute.
Congrats!!! Wasn’t the admission closed for winter break? Still waiting for mine!!! Congrats again!!!
Congrats!!
@HansChou Yes, they are still closed for winter break. I actually found out I got in during the first week of December. Just accepted my offer last night!
And thank you!! Good luck with your decision!!
Don’t withdraw any application until you’ve heard from Financial AId AND checked with your parents that they can afford it without loans (ie.? they can pay from savings and income).
I accepted my offer too and had to withdraw from the school for financial reasons, which stinks but I’m not too upset about it anymore.
