just accepted off the waitlist

Hi Loramora,
I was given 7 days to reply. I understand it would be difficult to make a decision in 24 hours so perhaps you could ask for more time. Good luck making your decision!

Just got accepted today too! College of arts and sciences. Like everyone else, I have one week. I also sent in a letter expressing my continued interest, that might have helped.

@loststudent11-you can’t be sure yet. Some people will inevitably turn down waitlist offers, which means they will make a second round of calls, then a third if need be, and so on till they fill the class.

Congratulations guys!! I hope you to see you in the fall :)

I just got in-should there be a change in my wustl-pathway page? I just logged in and it changed (back to the way it was right after I submitted my app before decisions were out). Should I have access to other stuff yet or anything? Or does that all come later if/when I accept?

Anyone applied to Olin got taken off?

when will internationals get notified?

I am wait-listed international applicant, and I applied to Olin. Seems like no one here got off to Olin yet. nervoussss

My D received call phone notice at 02:30 PM PST. ( waitlisted -> accepted )

Any international students get off the waitlist?

@plsletmeblucky

The acceptance message on WUSTL Pathway doesn’t show up for a couple days after the acceptance call, so just wait for another day or so.

As soon as an international finds out, can you please post here?

I got in too, I did apply for fin aid though.

S applied to Olin w/ fin aid and was WL’d. No call (as far as I know). Acceptance to OBS off the WL might be tough…

6lambs FYI I got into Olin off the WL.

just got the official acceptance in the mail today-two days after call. I was reading-it says that they make room assignments for all people who turned in the forms before may 1. ie no one from the waitlist is considered in the “first round” of assigning rooms? ie do wait list kids get screwed as far as housing? Do they get the scraps or something? I really don’t want to get stuck in a single (that might sound out, but at least my first year I want a roommate)…

Well first of all there are no real “scraps” in terms of dorms at Wash U :)

There are probably like 10 single rooms for freshman out of all of the freshman rooms on campus. If that. They’ll probably go to people that have odd allergies or requested them for some extraneous reason.

I think that note about the allocation process means what it says: They are just doing intial allocations for the people who turned in forms before May 1. Doesn’t mean they get certain buildings, or certain rooms. Doesn’t even mean that you will be only matched with another waitlist accepted student. And, I guarantee that there are probably a whole lot of people who didn’t turn in their housing forms by May 1. They’ll probably make final adjustments sometime in the summer. You won’t know your roommate until July (if I remember correctly) anyway, so there’s still a lot for ResLife to figure out beyond just an initial matching stage. This probably could have been worded better in whatever note you got from ResLife, because it does seem rather vague, but I really don’t think you have any reason to worry. you can also just call them for clarification - they were really responsive when I had to call them a couple times last summer with various questions

Of the people who have heard back, are any international?

vikramcpo: I don’t think anybody who’s heard back is an international! I’m an international myself and I’m dying to find out :(

Same here :(
