Just accepted to College -- is it remotely possible to switch to Wharton?

semp is BACK mua ha ha ha ha

I have a buddy who's at penn doing a triple major including business at wharton. eh, he never gets out of his dorm room

The College at Penn is an excellent institution, and like any of its Ivy League peers, among the best liberal arts colleges in the country.

Anybody who says Wharton is the only good thing about Penn clearly doesn't really know that much about Penn (other than that he/she was rejected from it)

umm, actually I wasnt but, whatever

Thing is, I am more math-oriented. I would have done engineering only I don't want to be an engineer. However, business and econ seems to be like a nice healthy medium.

I initially applied College because I was too afraid of being "locked into" business, as I wanted freedom to see what I wanted to do. However, the more I look into it, the more business/econ really appeals...

"I would have done engineering only I don't want to be an engineer."

Haha, I know what you meant, but it just sounded funny.

ha, from what i've heard, that 3.7 aint as easy as it sounds. you have to be in the top 10-15% in practically every single class. Which is definitely extraordinary considering the overall competitiveness in Penn.

BTW, can someone tell me what the pass/fail deal is? Can i request a required course to be pass/fail?

The purpose of Pass/Fail at Penn is to let you take challenging electives withough blowing your GPA.

<a href="http://www.college.upenn.edu/rules/grades.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.college.upenn.edu/rules/grades.html</a></p>

To quote:

Remember: you may not use the pass/fail option for General Requirement, major or minor courses, or for courses you take to fulfill the Language, Writing or Quantitative Data Analysis Requirements.

So, no, pretty much anything that's required is going to have to be taken for a letter grade.
