Did any of you who got into BC this year submit ONLY ACT scores with no SATs? My daughter took both the ACT & SAT without any prep, just to see how she’d do. Her ACT score was a 32, but her SAT was not as good - about a 2070, I believe. The two SATII’s she took were okay… not great. We’re thinking of having her try the ACT once again, just in case it gets better, then only submitting the ACT - since that seems to be the test she does better on … Would you recommend this? Otherwise, should she prep like crazy over the summer & take the SAT again in September? Any suggestions?

You can certainly send only the ACT score, but you must have the optional writing section as well. BC's policy for standardized testing is this:

1) SATI + 2 SATII subject tests of your choice.
or
2) ACT with optional writing section
or
3) SAT1 + ACT (optional writing section is not required due to writing section of the SAT1 and SATII is not required due to ACT's other sections).

I hope that answered your question.

P.S.
BC will take the highest of the two scores, so don't sweat it.

She is in really good shape... I had a 28 ACT and a 1820 SAT, and I was recently accepted as a transfer. They look at the whole package. :P

i got in this year with a 34 ACT, 800 math II, 730 lit SAT IIs and no SATs

34 act? wow nice. brenny did you ever take the SAT Is

ps. 32 act is above their act average I believe, she should be in good shape
