Just thought I'd let others know that my son got info in the mail today letting him know he was chosen as a Presidential Scholar--we are very, very grateful!

Thought others would like to know that the awards have been sent out!

DS got his today also. Really an awesome opportunity. He also got another exciting admission notification, so he has some “deciding to do”.

Our mail comes a little late, so if you didn’t get it - don’t worry yet. (and we are in nearby state)

Congrats lwild & son! Do you think he will accept?

Congratulations back to you and your son, spursfanmom!

Right now I think ds will end up in Tulsa. We visited in the fall, knowing of the scholarship offered for NMFs, but not really expecting to be excited or impressed. We’d never been to Oklahoma before so everything was kind of unknown. From practically the minute we set foot on campus the three of us (me, husband and son) just loved the place. It was peaceful and beautiful and just “felt” right.

Son has visited other schools and gotten other good offers, but I think this one is the place. I’m so tired of stressing out about it! I’m sure you can understand!

Good luck to you and your son on his decision! Maybe we’ll see you in the fall!

Waiting on MIT last night. Not accepted. Looking for something from TU in the mail - nothing. Went to bed thinking no U of Tulsa Presidential Scholarship. Found a packet this morning on my front doorstep. Postman decided it did not fit in the mailbox yesterday. Nice surprise. Thanks TU!! Thanks postman for making life interesting!

Question… I suppose all three of you are NMFs and designated TU as your first choice?

Yes derien, that’s my son.

yes - My son has Tulsa as first choice for NMF. Our story sounds EXACTLY like lwild’s.

Were you there for Tulsa Time in October? We probably sat in the meetings together!

Yes, TU was my first choice for schools that offered scholarships for NMF.
