Just another chance thread..haha

Top choices: Vandy and Tulane especially, but also William and Mary, Tufts, Boston College
Considering: Georgetown, Boston U, UVA, Wake Forest, Emory, American
Safeties: Pitt, U of Maryland, U of Alabama

Objective:[ul]
[] SAT I: 700 CR, 690 M, 690 W (1390/2080) probably won't be sending this.
[] ACT: 33 (35 E, 34 R, 29 M, 35 S, 10 essay)
[] SAT II: 690 Lit, 660 Bio E, 660 US History (won't be sending these unless they're required, as is the case with Georgetown)
[] Unweighted GPA: 4.0 (W is around 4.56ish)
[] Rank: 2/450
[] AP: won't be sending scores. I have taken 6 APs so far though, and I will be taking 5 more senior year.
[li] Major Awards: Attended Westinghouse Science Honors Institute. Also think I'll be National Merit Commended, got a letter in spring but I know my score isn't good enough to make semifinalist.
[/li]

[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): NHS (community service coordinator), science club, science olympiad, science bowl, Student Government (representative), coach youth cheerleading, safe driving club at school, community service based club (Secretary)

[] Essays: they're turning out decently. I think they're pretty unique so far
[]Recs: very close with my counselor, his should be good. Also getting letters from my APUSH teacher, AP Calc teacher, and AP Bio teacher. Had great relationships with all of them, especially my bio teacher, so those should be good. Also getting an additional recommendation from a professor at Vandy who is director of PAVE program (will probably only send this rec to reach schools).

[/ul]Other:[ul]
[] Intended Major: physics and biology
[] State: PA
[] School Type: large public
[] Ethnicity: white
[li] Gender: female[/li][/ul]

Any input you guys have would be much appreciated!

I’m pretty sure you could get in at all of those colleges.
It’s also quite uncommon (at least in my school) to be on good terms with one’s counselor, so that’s a bonus. Your stats, essays, Rec Letters, and EC’s should get you in.

Wow, really? That’s comforting to hear! Thank you so much!

Yeah, seriously. Don’t forget to go on campus tours and contact admissions officers. Admissions officers love that sort of stuff. They call it “Demonstrated Interest” and will keep you on their profile when the admissions process begins.

Oh and could you chance me as well?

Yeah, I’ve been trying to show as much interest as possible. I’m planning a few visits now, so we’ll see how they go! But absolutely, give me like 2 minutes and I’d be happy to :)

bump… any other opinions?
I can chance back if you’d like!

The only thing you can do now is up the test scores.

Would anyone else mind giving their input? I will chance back!
