<p>I go to an all boys competitive private school in MD
Between top 5 - 20 % of class of 300</p>

<p>GPA- Unweighted- 3.9
Weighted- 3.99
Sat- 2 Part 1000
with writing 1550</p>

<p>What are my chances?</p>

<p>I know my SAT Score is low I have only taken it once and I was sick I would hope to get between 1800-1900 after taking a prep class.</p>

But you should try to aim for ~2000 on your SAT, it’ll look worlds better on your app.</p>

<p>How are at a “competative” school, in the top 5-20 percent, with a 1550 SAT? Um, there is some serious grade inflation going on…</p>

<p>But then again, I was sick when I took the SATs once. 300 Point difference between two tests. I think if you were really sick, you can get that target score. :)</p>

<p>snydergr10, 10 of the 17 posts on this thread are bumps, and all 10 have been within 9.5 hours of each other; stop bumping so much! and as i see it, as long as u raise those sat scores, u should be in all of them. But as it stands, VT and Fordham will be a bit difficult.</p>

<p>Yeah VA Tech is reachy, as is fordham, but apply anyways, you never know. Try to get the SATs up, get that blue book and take every single practice test in there! Itll help i promise</p>

<p>SAT’s need to be raised. Fordham and VTech are way above right now, everything else appears plausible.</p>
