Yeah, it really was fun for them…
I’m really grateful that the school is making these kinds of efforts to help our kids. Between that and the final exam care package the parents’ association arranged, as well as all the other forms of support (tutor/study sessions, etc), I am pretty happy as a “Maryland Parent.”

While I can’t speak for the dogs they brought in for the Puppy Palooza during the day, the Scholars program brought in “therapy” dogs that same night for a private session in the Scholars community. The kids had to line up and were limited to how many they let in at a time. So, not only were these dogs specially trained to deal with this kind of attention, there was a procedure in place that addressed your concern. I would think that a similar respect for the animals was present for Puppy Palooza, and that they would not bring in dogs that were nervous/skittish/uncomfortable with large numbers of people. My understanding is that this is not the first time that Maryland did these programs, so since the dogs returned for this year, it must not have been an issue. :)

I went, puppy palooza was amazing! they also had a lot of free events like massages, trail-mix stations, breakfast, and so much more. Definitely helped me de-stress.
