I know you just took Brown away, but are you sure that you don't want to put it back on your list since you're interested in pre-med? Brown would probably be good for that--I don't know much about it's pre-med program (or if it actually has a specific pre-med major) but it has a fantastic med school and probably quite a few internships available as a result. It'd be a reach--but it is for most people, and unless you have another reason not to apply I don't see why you shouldn't try.

well i mean, i figure if i can get into brown, ill likely be accepted by rice, jhu, or nu. im worried about you know, a huge blowout, considering other than that list, i dont have any safeties. im trying to make sure i get into one of these schools, and i dont think the difference between brown and rice would be that big of an important to me. Plus i dunno, i feel like Brown just wouldnt fit me. I know what you mean though, its pre-med is absolutely amazing. Im not going the normal 3 reach, 3 match, 3 safety school way that people normally go, or are recommended to go. Im gonna be a little risky, just so i can make sure i get into the best possible college, but dont get rejected to everything lol. Also, its expensive to apply to college :-P

more opinions?

bump.......

stop just viewing and actually tell me what u think!!

i need more opinions :/

why wont anyone else give me an opinion?
Please guys, this is important to me

Cmon guys do you think ill be getting in?

hey colsen thanks for reviewing me - ive been getting great foresights into my acceptance at Rice - provided that you make the SAT score and the essay you want, you've got a better chance than i do. I can only say so little for Rice cuz thats all ive been asking bout - and if you check my thread some nice girl is the daughter of 2 Rice professors - she gave me good chances...

yeah it looks like we're in just about the same boat.
doesnt rice look sweet though? lol
Maybe someday...

haha tell me bout it

alright so i have to make a change in my GPA and my stats so can you guys give me a new update as to the chances you think i have.
i have only 1 AP class because that was the only available one to me at my old school, and my current one does not do AP courses. it is a college preparatory school however so the classes are rigorous. so because of this, on a 4.33 scale, my W and UW gpa is 3.6. By the time i apply it should be up to possibly a 3.8 maybe 3.9 or 4 if i bust ass. keep in mind the first thing about what happened my sophomore year that occurred. i will be sending in my actual report cards so a clear view of what happened can be seen. How do you think this was effect my chances at all of those schools. Heres the list again...
Amherst C
Colgate U
Cornell U
Johns Hopkins U
Northwestern U
Rice U
Tufts U
Vassar C

keep in mind that my school has STRONG connections with Vassar, and my sister has graduated from Cornell and my brother currently goes to Cornell.
