NOW. most of my colleges need essays that are under 500 words.
a few of my essays range between 380-450. i know 450 is alright, but should i do something about the smaller essays? or is it okay to be around a 100 below the limit?</p>
<p>also, cornell asks me ‘How have your interests and related experiences influenced your selection of major?’
now i’ve spoken about that. and i’ve also spoken about my goals and how these experiences have made me form my goals etc etc.
is that relevant, or not?</p>
<p>Although it’s possible to do a great job with a few words, be sure you respond fully and to the best of your ability. Usually, that takes a word count near the limit.</p>

i started off with a 1000 and as i edited it, it’s been trimmed down to 650-700. that okay?</p>

<p>While I understand your frustration, but for best results, you should be posting your questions on the most relevant forum. For instance:</p>
<p>Use the College Essays forum for this question. And if you were on that forum you would quickly find that questions about essay length are FAQs and a scan of recent threads or using the Search function would get you the answers you need.</p>
