<p>1) Do they have a fee waiver for the application fee?
2) How long do you think until I hear a decision?
3) I live in IL, will I fit in? I know that only like 6% are out of state...
4) Fin Aid was due March 15th, if I apply now do you think I will get considerable fin aid?
5) do you think I will get in?
GPA (UW): 3.6, (W): 3.9
ACT: 27
Class Rank: top 25%, I think now top 20% though
ALOT of CLUBS/COMM SERVICE
GREAT ESSAY
have taken 6 APs, 5 of them this yr (senior yr), got a 4 on AP english lang
Want to go to new brunswick arts and sciences.
6) Is the school nice? is the campus safe, fun?
7) How is Rutgers for pre-med?
8) I am a little confused...do i need to send a counselor rec or teacher rec letter???</p>
<p>all i have to say is…idk how you are surviving senior year with 5 AP classes…</p>
<p>hahahaha. yeah it is pretty brutal. no senioritis for me so any answers to my questions??? I really am worried!
oh and I figured out that they do accept fee waivers and you don’t have to send rec letters in. but i still would like to know about my other questions…</p>
<p>you mean you just applied like recently? for real?
The school is pretty sweet. Well known in the area and probably beyond. Awesome spirit.
You’ll still get aid, but the amount will probably be less than if you applied by the deadline, plus education budgets are being slashed in New Jersey right now.
What school did you apply for? Great GPA, hope you aren’t screwed because you applied so late.</p>
<p>1) Fee waiver if you apply through College Board. Must see your guidance counselor for a fee waiver form from College Board.
2) Depending on when you applied, most likely you should hear at least by June if you haven’t already
3) I love when we get people from out of state because seriously I’m tired running into Jersey people all of the time. It makes you more unique. Don’t worry about it. The only time you’ll feel left out is at the football games when we are singing Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer”. Then you know you’re in Jersey. (I’m kidding, of course) =)
4) You might be at a disadvantage in terms of the amount you get (like lower) since you didn’t apply before the deadline =(
5) Great GPA, great ACT score. I think you have a chance, esp. if you’re applying to the school of arts and sciences ::thumbs up::
6) There are 4 campuses in New Brunswick – Busch is mostly science majors, Douglass/Cook is for the girls residential college + animal sciences (there are farms!), Livingston is kind of isolated but a quiet campus, College Avenue is near the downtown New Brunswick area and is popular for the off campus and frat parties. The campus is pretty much safe if you are not walking around at 2 in the morning in downtown New Brunswick.
7) Don’t know much about pre-med here, but I don’t think they have that as a major. Most kids major in something in the life sciences. Check this site for more information [Division</a> of Life Sciences: Rutgers University](<a href=“http://lifesci.rutgers.edu/]Division”>http://lifesci.rutgers.edu/)
8) A counselor recommendation is fine. But a rec is not required for Rutgers, but it is always good to have that extra “umph” for your application =)</p>
<p>Good luck! And if you have any non-academic questions on dorms, dining hall food, specific campuses, feel free to ask!</p>
<p>haha thanks for the answers!!! i dont really get the livin on a prayer thing but i laughed.
ohhh…also, does everyone in jersey have annoying accents??? and are you guys like on the jersey shore??? if so, i might need to become a guido.</p>
<p>::smacks forehead:: Damn you, MTV and your crappy misrepresentation of Jersey. Damn you, MTV!!!</p>
<p>You’ll come across a couple of d-bag guidos (there’s even Guindians – Indian guidos!), but they only come out of hiding at frat parties and general education lecture hall classes. And you have your share of Snookies with terrible tans and heavy makeup, but again, they only come out of hiding at frat parties and general education lecture hall classes. ;)</p>
<p>You’ll be fine. You’ll find a group of people to relate to. It is pretty diverse, and I don’t mean by just racial or ethnic terms, but in the personalities – the artsy kids, the normal down-to-earth kids, the science kids, the preppy kids, the athletic kids, the party kids, the academic nerds (and “nerd” is used in a good light), the quiet kids, the friendly kids, the long board kids, the music/band nerds, the unicycle riding kids, the politically obsessed kids, the activists, the just-don’t-give-a-hoot kids, the international students, etc. It sounds almost like high school! But just better. :p</p>
<p>Oh, and the “Livin’ On A Prayer” thing? It’s Jersey, so most worship artists like Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen. I don’t understand it. I didn’t even know the words to “Livin’ on A Prayer” until I heard it every football game. And I’ve lived in Jersey my whole life! Now I know the whole song =</p>
