Essay**
Common App essay is about shaving my head. The Swim team has a tradition of coloring and shaving our heads for District Championships each year. I talked about how I learned about traditions, leadership, and judgment from this experience, in order to support my bigger thesis that it is often the seemingly unimportant experiences (such as shaving your head for swimming) that teach us the biggest life lessons.

For my personal statement (had to write about an intellectual interest) I wrote about behavior and how I like to create my own ideas about human nature/behavior. I also related this to why I like my job because I can observe people as a lifeguard.
