Intended Major: History, French

Recs: Really good, one from my history teacher who has known me all for years, had me for two years. One from my French teacher who I have had 3/4 years.

Essays: Good. Colby essay about what defeating anorexia taught me, want to go to Colby because of their focus on internationalism.

Interview was great, I took a history class, and went up to Colby three times.

Colby is BY FAR my first choice...ahhh I hope I have a shot. I feel like my "Why Colby?" may not have been strong enough but I dont know how much that affects their decision. Will doing EDII help me?

Thanks!

Pleeeeeeeeeeeease? Be honest.

You look really good, your volunteer ECs are a real plus and your ACT is certainly in the range. Having gone there 3 times and interviewed really helps too.

But ED II is tough, with an acceptance rate that is actually a little lower than RD. So hang tight should you be deferred to the regular pool, you would have a real shot at RD too. Best of luck!

If I do get deferred, what are some way that I can show Colby how much I want to go there?

Dress up in a giant mule costume and make a video.

You may have another teacher write a supplemental letter, perhaps in history since that seems to be a real strength? And then write a letter yourself, where you can supplement your "why Colby" essay on the reasons for your deep interest. Best of luck!

If you get deferred, you could write a letter and say that you really like Colby, and would love to be a student there, etc. Expressing interest is always good!
But I seriously think that you could get accepted in the ED II round!!
