What are the chances of universities accepting a late application?

I know most of the RD deadlines have passed but if I apply now is there even a slightly remote chance that my application will be considered?

It is stated on universities' site that late documents will not be considered. However, it doesn't say about late application. I know a friend who applied in march (2months past the RD) and still got accepted to USFCA.

And I really want to apply to one particular university that I came to known just recently. I rushed my essays but they didn't make it in time.

Well you answered your own question. Your friend applied 2 months and still got in. It really depends on the college I’m sure. I would call the call you’re looking at, and explain your situation and ask if applying late is ok.

For example, Dartmouth’s deadline was Jan 1st but reportedly they sent a mail to few select applicants that they could apply till Jan 15th - this means that even if you didn’t get the mail - you could have applied till Jan 15th and probably 1-2 days later!!

Also University of the Pacific sent me a mail today saying I have 2 more days to apply, even though their deadline was 15th Jan!!

If you have the money, then I’d say apply!! :)

Nope, USFCA is my safety. I got an early admit at USFCA. The university I would like to apply is SOKA University of America. But problem solved (sort of), SOKA gave me an extension until Jan 22 so it’s all good now. Just need to rush two 1000-word supplement essays in a week. Sleep is for the weak. :D
