Just bombed science....How exactly do you prepare for the "new" science section?

I prepped HARD on the science for this test, taking a whole slew of practice tests from the red book and mcgraw hill and it ended up being the section that totally shafted me.

I’m used to seeing 5 question, 6 question, and 7 question passages but the April 2015 one only had 6’s and 7’s which caught me off guard and I ended up totally running out of time and being forced to guess on like 7+.

Science - 22 (!!!)

Are there any prep books that replicate the “new” difficulty of the ACT Science? I’m honestly not worried about all the other sections, the only reason I did so poorly in math was because I lost track of time.
I was thinking about getting a Barron’s book because they’re supposed to be super hard. Clearly the tests that ACT releases in the prep books are totally useless.

I found the science material in the PR 1296 to be more similar to the difficulty of the latest ACT. It still has the 5, 6, and 7 question passages but the actual material I found to be harder than the other recourses I used.

What do you mean how do you study for it? Everything is the same except that there are no more 5Q passages.

Was the old science section easier or the new one? The new one has one less passage.

The “new” 6-passage version is decidedly easier than the “old” 7-passage version since there’s less time pressure.
