Just Came Back from PSAT and I feel Terrible

idk

we cant discuss the questions yet

^We can’t? Shoot.

Somebody had to say that.

@wuchu
how did you study? did you bought the psat books? did you take sat courses?

Don’t do that. The 0.25 point deduction exactly corrects for completely random guessing; in other words, your predicted score if you guess is zero. If you can eliminate one - just one - response, you should guess. Certainty is not required.

“We can’t discuss questions yet”

lol. Tell that to everyone in the sat prep forum.

I don’t remember signing any secrecy agreement before taking the PSAT.

I remember that next year on the real PSAT

Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. Last year (my sophomore year) I went into the PSAT cold and got a 190.

On the other hand, if the PSAT is giving you this much trouble in your sophomore year I am not sure how much a year of prep will help.

Be sensitive. TRUFFLIEPUFF is in a fragile state of mind, reeling from the possibility that she scored below a 2300 on her first SAT. You cannot fathom the agony she has to endure these next two weeks.

But a 2300 on your first SAT is easy. Why would she be worried about getting THAT low? rolls eyes

Smh at the CC elitism. Smh.

I know! I mean, I did it without even studying!

I did it with my eyes closed while flirting with the cute girl in front of me!

um well, i did take sat classes over the summer…but really now, don’t hang your head on this fact. i really didn’t learn anything. all they did was force me to take 8 practice exams. that was REALLY helpful! why? because i have ADHD (something like that) and i cannot concentrate, and so i couldn’t possibly take a test at home without getting over it after half a section.

basically, if you don’t have ADHD, buy the official sat study guide 2 and do all the practice tests. make sure to diagnose your problem areas after each section. everyone can improve by doing this. it’s 100% guaranteed to improve your score
