Well, my second son decided to go to Christopher Newport. We toured lots of schools, and he chose this small “university” in Newport News. It has a lot of interesting nooks and crannies, both academically and in student life. I believe it’s an up and coming school (SATs and GPAs have shot up in recent years).

So, is there anybody else choose CNU, as opposed to those who will “not be there long”. (Be careful what you wish for!)

Hi red, I'm looking into going to CNU. I was accepted early on, so it was nice knowing that I was going somewhere. I'm deciding between cnu and gmu. It's a tough choice.

CNU has been really in touch with me, which has been nice. I've gone to several of their online chats and receptions. I've toured their campus (which is amazing), and met the president.

If anyone else is looking at this school - hit me up on AIM or e-mail me.

So what did you decide? (I know where Annadizzale is, by the way. Did you go to Annadizzale HS?)

My CNU son is my third, so this has been my third series of welcome sessions and orientation days. I have to say, if enthusiasm is any measure, CNU has it all over the biggies (UVA & JMU). I just wish there were a way to bottle it and send it back to you guys around finals time!
