GPA- 3.77 (possibility of bringing it up to the 3.8 range but lets assume it stays the same)

SAT- 2010

ECs- football team, honors program, political science club, 2 years work experience, damn good essay, some sweet pectorals

I'm not too confident with my stats so i need some validation from you helpful people. I'm going to apply as a junior to UMich, GWU, Boston college, Boston U, and Georgetown (don't worry, I also have safties). Also, I did not graduate highschool and intead got a GED. My counsler says it shouldn't have much relevance, but I'm convinced she's full of tihs (see what I did there?).

Any other suggestions would be nice. I'm looking for a school with a good political science program. Help me out guys/girls

Sorry forgot: some good recomendation letters and am an active participant in student government

Lots of people get into good colleges and universities with GEDs instead of HS transcripts. Lots of people transfer from community colleges to Famous Name Universities. If your transfer counselor has worked with students like you before, and they have gotten into the kinds of universities you are looking at, then she knows what she's talking about. IT IS HER JOB TO KNOW THIS KIND OF STUFF!!!!

Stop worrying about the GED and get on with those transfer applications.

Continue with your upward trend, and you'll have a great shot - GED is irrelevant.

bump bump...

Agreed, I think a GED makes you so much more attractive in the sense that it's less conventional in regards to other applicants applying to the same schools.

I also agree that the GED is a non-issue. Good luck to you.

I am pleasantly suprised by your responses. Thank you all.
