If I didn't make it clear, I just meant how many class slots you have. I've heard of schools operating with up to 10. (Or something like that, if I was listening right)

Personally, my school offers 6.

Extra Credit: For those with more than 6 APs, are you getting to the point where you might run out of APs? How many are self studies and how many would you consider "heavyweight" classes?

My school has seven periods. But has six each day. Its in a rotation, so for example: one day its period A to F, the next day we drop F and get G for first period. It may complicated but its really good. Because of that I managed to take an extra class that I was interested in.

My son’s has 8 periods, but one is a study hall or resource time that the whole school has at the same time, so he takes 7 classes per semester.

Ocho.
We take 8 classes that last all year round.
But nobody’s ever run out of APs, since they’re only offered one or two periods that overlap, and my school offers plenty.

Monday, Tuesday, Friday is all 7
Wednesday is 2, A Class You Choose (extra help in APs, art classes, SAT Prep, etc.), 4, 6
Thursday is 1, 3, 5, 7

We will never run out of AP classes. There are 25.

We do 8 a year.Four 90 minute periods a day with alternating days.
Extra Credit:
A precocious student entering my school next year could take about 15 AP classes before graduating. The only ones I missed were Biology, Government, Psychology, Spanish, Economics, and Environmental Science. I’ll sit for Government, Economics, and Psych this spring regardless, and I already 5’d Environmental Science after taking a standard level course in it.
