Essay and Recs are great.
Other than that, what do you think?

Also, forgot to mention…
ACT: 36M; 35R; 36S, 36English

If you have the intelligence to look at your own stats and confidently say, “I’m set,” you will probably have a stab at the Ivies. At this point, it’s just luck of the draw.

I’m a freshman (2013) from Washington, DC.
I had slightly lower SAT scores, but I took 17 AP exams (only one 4). As far as I can tell, you’re pretty set. I played tennis as well (1st in my district) and debated (1st in the state). I think something that will ultimately decide is that essay. Yes, these stats are good, so are those of 20,000+ other students. Seriously, after a while, the difference between you and the hundreds of other 2300+ students is miniscule.

My essays titles: “Tennis in the ghetto.” The second was: “Why are you crying, sister?” Which is about my family and an incident of robbery and assault.

/ Even if you don’t get in, so what? I’m actually considering transferring. It’s really not worth the hype. Honestly, it’s rather boring and the best thing we’ve done this year is invent harvardfml.com.
