Essay and Recs are great.
Other than that, what do you think?

Other stats, rank?, race?, sex?, region? That will all factor in. Also, how are you so sure your recs and essays are “great”. Specifics of leadership would also be valuable.

Sorry for not including that information earlier, My rank was 22/1226, I am an Indian Male <– Unfortunately. Yeah the region would be the Midwest(kinda wanna get out of there). I was assuming that my recs and essays are great because of the fact that I want people to judge based on the stats. Leadership – Vice President of BPA (Business Club), treasurer of JSA(Debate Club).

In my opinion, you academic stats are terrific. They certainly fit those of admitted students. Yes, indian may be a little more competitive pool than some but it could be worse. Being from the mid-west should be in your favor.

As for the other things, leadership. VP and treasurer. Were these token titles, or if asked could someone speak to what you actually brought to these two clubs. You know the difference between the two and be honest with yourself and figure out which it is. It can make a difference.

You want to be evaluated only based on stats but you need to understand how vastly important your essays and recs will be for your application. They will have to be what you are hoping to have. I (and I know some disagree) firmly believe that the interview can be important in the end. Yes, there are students who get in despite their interview but there are others for whom the interview was the tipping point (I believe my daughter was one of those students).

So, if all the above is correct, then I think that you will at least be given serious consideration by Harvard and have better than the average 7% chance. Whether you get in, no one can predict.

Good luck.

Thank you so much for your insight. I do agree with what you have said about the recs and the essay. Also, thank you for you feedback on what you said about the interview. I think that this will really (hopefully) end up helping me towards the end of the process.

Anyone else?
