just curious…did anyone ever get off the reserve pool list for cbhp??

i think i saw someone here (that was accepted into UFE or CBH) that ended up choosing another school.

so there should have been room for at least one more.

Yes, I know of 3 students who were contacted during Bama Bound at the end of May. Don’t know if there were any others. Cheerleader (who has posted here) came off the waitlist.

did rocket ever get accepted to one of these programs? i think she was going to go to smith instead.

Rocket did not make Fellows, but did get accepted to Smith as well as some other great places, and will be attending Smith in the Fall :)

I know of one girl that spoke to Dean Sharpe near the end of our Bama Bound and was offered a spot. DS considered that, but after really looking at scheduling and all it seems as if the required CBH credits would make it very difficult to him to pursue his second major.
I know some work it out, but even with his AP credits coming in it looks like he would be giving up something that he is much more sure of than CBH.
I wonder how any others come to this conclusion after really getting into the scheduling process?

Just looked at the fall schedule, and there are still eight openings in CBHP 101. My son said that he believes there were some students taken from the waiting list this year. There are probably a few who will go to Bama Bound later because of schedule conflicts (we did last year).

AL34, I do not know how many give up the CBH spot. In some cases, they may decide that they cannot pursue a double major if the majors are completely different. For example, it’s easier to be a math/econ major, because econ requires so much math. It’s probably much more difficult to juggle engineering and history, because the majors do not have common classes.

Rocket didn’t apply to CBH…only Fellows. Once she wasn’t accepted to Fellows and got a great offer from Smith, she didn’t pursue any waitlist for Fellows (if there is one).

good to hear some got off the list!! a great (but tough) program.

hey all! I thought I heard my named mentioned :D

I did only apply for Fellows, got invited down as a finalist, was not offered a spot. I do know a few Fellows who picked different schools, but I was never contacted to take their spot.(which is a bummer, I would have still loved to go)

But, as everyone on this board said, I’m Smith bound and very happy! It all worked out for me…And if anyone has questions for next year, please PM me!

Hi Sweetie!!!

I wonder if Bama didn’t know that you might still be interested in Fellows. But…that’s water under the bridge now…you’re a Smithie!!!

You’re going to wonderful things…I just know it!
