Just discovered 5 or so minor mistakes in my Common App essay.

But i already submitted it to the Common App (Stanford and Princeton) Help
Can I send a copy of the correct essay to all the schools I am going to apply to?

if it is a minor mistake, chances are they won’t notice it. If you send the copy of the correct essay, they WILL see that you made those mistakes on your first one. Plus, I doubt they have time to receive corrected essay versions.

Everyone wants to change something on their essays to make them better. Get over it. You submitted it and that’s it, as it is for other people.

For other schools you haven’t applied to yet, you should by all means make those changes. But don’t email Stanford and Princeton. It won’t help you at all.

I agree completely with impetuous. Sending in another copy after submitting your application will just highlight the fact that you made errors. You should just hope that they don’t see the errors.
Also, how did you apply to Stanford and Princeton when Stanford is Restrictive EA?

^princeton has no early, so they applied regular decision to princeton.

and yeah, i wouldn’t correct it either unless it’s extremely important (not just minor errors in the essay or something).

I made the same mistake. But with common app, the essay once submitted to one school is locked in for the others you apply to online. Should I just mail out copies of my common application to the other schools I apply to?
