Just discovered I might have a Learning Disability...what now?

I've always struggled with math - it was a constant thorn in my side growing up, the pain/annoyance only further compounded by the fact I look like a nerdy Asian and so people naturally assume the [racist] mentality that I would excel in the subject.

After bombing my midterm in math (taking intermediate algebra [Math 70]), my teacher suggested I try getting an assessment over at my school's special resources center. I took the test, and although I'm going back today to get the results, I'm left with a million questions.

Lets say I am diagnosed as having a LD, such as a special type of Dyslexia or Dyscalculia - how do the UC's treat this, considering I already submitted my apps?

Suffice to say, things are looking bad for my math class; its the only IGETC requirements I have left - the math class I'm taking now is a pre-req for me to take a transferable math course during the winter or spring semester coming up. If I don't do well in my current math class, I can't move onto the next math class I need to transfer. I was hoping
that perhaps if I did bad, I could retake it during the winter and so be ready for the next math class by Spring, but sadly my school (and none of the other local CC's) offer Int. Algebra over Winter, I'm guessing since its such a broad and expansive subject on which the foundations for the next level math courses rest upon, so to try and cram it into a month-long Winter class would be impossible.

Considering the (possible) late discovery of my LD, and also taking into factor that I fulfilled every other IGETC requirement except the math requirement, is there any chance I can get a "waiver"? If I have to end up waiting another full year to transfer (Fall 2010), I will be CRUSHED.

I think it might be too late but the UC's don't hold disorders/disabilities against any applicant.

Anyway, an assessment from a special resource center at your community college is hardly a diagnoses. If you really think you have a disorder go see a physician before it affects any more of your grades.

But yeah, it's probably to late b/c you can't add anything in your additional comments box and can't alter your personal statement.
