Hey I’m Sam and i just finished my first semester of junior year…I’ve a 3.89w GPA including this finished semester and my uw GPA will be around 3.7ish…I’ve 148 CS hours (gonna get at least 2 more) and I’ve taken 3 overall AP/Ib but im changing schools next semester and my new school doesn’t have ib classes so that will bring my ap classes to 2 overall… Im bilingual, Black, Ghanaian citizen and I wanted to know if the drop of ib classes will hurt me…im taking SAT in march and ill take at least 3 AP classes next year…what are my chances of getting into UGA? But most importantly will the drop of an ib class hurt me? My class rank right now is 50/970 at a really competitive school btw
No school is going to ding you for not taking classes your school doesn’t have. Your GC should explain in his letter to colleges that you moved schools in midyear, going from a school with IB to one that doesn’t offer the course.
Your GPA is fine for UGA assuming you’re in-state, but it’s pointless chancing anyone without SAT or ACT scores.

No. Either test is fine, and colleges don’t prize one more than the other.
