Just For Fun

Currently a junior that's bored and wants advice.....

I just want to get into UC Berkeley; other schools I don't really care about. I might apply to other schools for fun and see what happens, but I most likely wont go to them. So even if I get accepted to an Ivy, I probably wont go.

However, just for fun.....

Californian Asian resident: moved from MN right before my junior year, hence a big cut EC opportunities

SAT: Projected 2200+

SAT II: Projected around 800 on Math IIC, 700-800 on Physics, 700-800 on US History

AP's: Calc AB (8th grade): 5, Calc BC (9th grade): 5, AP Euro (10th grade): 5, AP Physics B (10th grade): 5, AP English Comp (10th grade): 3 (ouch)

Projected AP scores post Junior year: Stats: 5, Physics C Mechanics: 4-5, Biology: 3-5, United States History: 4-5, English Comp (re-taking): 4-5

Going for the National AP Scholar award by end of junior year, already have the AP Scholar With Distinction award as of the end of my sophomore year

Senior Year: Any set of 5 of these classes: AP Spanish, AP Macro Econ, AP Chemistry, AP Computer Science, AP U.S. Gov. & Politics, AP English Literature, Academic Decathlon, Speech & Debate

GPA: 4.2+ (my current one is around 4.21, maybe I can't remember correctly)
Rank: 1/around 600 some (this was after the transfer though, not sure if this means much at all)

Projected EC's:
-Varsity football 2 yrs (11-12)
-Wrestling 2 yrs (9-10, factoring in the move from MN to CA)
-Went to the University of MN to take mathematics while I was in middle school
-Violin for around 10 years, private/group lessons and concerts with MacPhail Center for Music, Chamber orchestra 10th grade, plan to do orchestra my senior year (junior year plagued by the move from MN to CA)
-Debate 9th grade
-Varsity Debate 10th grade
-ZERO hours of volunteer work unless I decide to do something
-I plan to do some kind of academic club, except they have almost all been in conflict with my schedule, such as classes or sports, but whatever.....hopefully something like academic decathlon and quiz bowl or something
-Chinese school from around 5 yrs old to 15, I would really like to continue learning (I can speak fluently but would like to work on my ability to read/write)
-Maybe some more stuff

Once again, I really don't care about other schools because UC Berkeley is probably one of the best options financially and educationally for a Californian undergraduate student (in-state). I'll probably still apply to other schools just for fun though.

Some of the ones I'm thinking of:
U of Chicago
NYU
Duke
U Penn
Caltech

Berkeley: match
UChic: match
NYU: safe match
Duke/UPenn/Caltech: very possible
