<p>northwestern, mcgill, tulane, brown, carnegie mellon, u of toronto, wisconsin-madison, emory, u of richmond, loyola (MD)</p>

<p>EA to tulane with VIP/personal app; offered VIP app at loyola but opted to use common app EA. RD everywhere else.</p>

<p>senior at high-powered, hyper-competitive NYC public high school. caucasian, medium income but from a low-income zip code.
GPA: 92.4/100, unweighted, obvious upward trend. Only one final B; everything else (except a few first-semester grades) is B+ or higher.</p>

<p>ACT: 33
SAT Subject Tests: Math II-760; USH-700; Spanish (no listening)-770.
AP: Spanish, 5.</p>

<p>Taking three APs (enviro, psych, AB calc). Other classes are US Constitutional Law and a class on James Joyce, plus an internship with a music teacher.</p>

<p>Essay: Who knows, but it got a 97 when I submitted a mock version.
Recs: I have it on good authority that at least one teacher rec is glowing. Not sure on the counselor rec, though (my counselor resigned at the end of junior year)</p>

<p>No suspensions or academic integrity violations or anything like that</p>

<p>ECs:
Various musical endeavors--jazz band, musical rep band. also played in a band outside of school which played some decently well-known NYC venues.
Sectional editor for the school's official newspaper and arts magazine; also staff writer on the arts magazine before I got promoted.
About 85 total hours of service credit from Central Park Summerstage, some in-school volunteering, and musical performances at charitable events.
Other little clubs here and there--I was the co-president of one.</p>
