hmm... did I leave anything else out? well anyway... don't hold back here... apps are already turned in, I can't change anything now... this is just for fun!

thanks everyone.

JW...what are your safeties?

I'm hoping that UCLA/UCB will be matches and UCSD/UCI are safeties... I also applied to a handful of other colleges for their combined medical programs, and though I doubt I'll actually get into the combined med programs, I should be able to get into the undergrads so if I had to fall back on something I'd have options.

I don't know your chances...although you look like a strong applicant, but I'm wondering why you didn't apply to JHU?

well.. I hear JHU massacres its pre-med students and then they dont even allow everyone to apply to med school. so even though 95% of students get into med school once they graduate... not everyone got to apply. so its like meh... screw it.

Undignified:

UCB/UCLA: Safe Match
UCSD: Safety
UCI: Super Safety

anyone bold enough to wager a guess about those other schools or are they all just too damn random? lol

you are a very strong applicant i would say...only thing is ec's might be a little common but that's really splitting hairs...good luck!
i'm sure you'll get in somewhere very selective...it's always a tossup tho

thanks thats encouraging.... but yeah im not too happy w/ my ec's either... I think if I get shot down at the top schools it will have been because I'm too similar to everyone else. meh whatever we'll see i guess.

tough tough shot at HYPS or those leagues... ec's aren't the best. but good shot at the others!

yeah I figured HYS was kinda out of reach... kind of sucks cuz I'd love to go to Harvard... but then again who wouldn't, right?

ESSAYS ARE SOOO IMPORTANT FOR STANFORD. PERIOD. IF THEY STAND OUT OUT OF 2000 APPLICANTS, YOU COULD DO SOME DAMAGE!

sorry for the caps, i just know that's just really big with them. take it from someone who's been rejected already, and taken a look at some accepted people's essays. not everyone's scores are on the same level, and that's because it's not the make/break factor for them. essays play a huge part. i assume you've already turned in your apps, so there's no use worrying. just hope that your essays makes their eyes pop out.

so I've heard... my long essay for Stanford wasn't too great, but that's okay cuz I don't really wanna go to stanford (I wanna go to the east coast!). But I think I fixed them up nice enough for the schools I care about (all of them except stanford lol).

yeah, i dont know how much different east coast schools do their admission process

i haven't been rejected from those schools yet
[i'm more of a lab rat than a competitive applicant]

UCSD is super safety.

UCLA/UCB: Safe match, you're pretty much in.

HYS UPenn: Slight Reach

All other schools: Match
