Just Going Crazy Waiting

Congrats CesVar! Where else have you been accepted (if you don’t mind me asking?)

My decision will probably be here monday…oh god…

I’ve been accepted at UT Austin (in-state automatic admit), LSU honors (in case everything falls through), and Carleton. Though I have a likely from Duke, so I’ll have to see

impromptulove, I wish you the best of luck!

i’m an international but haven’t received any email… should i be worried???

If people want to post stats, we could start another thread to keep it neater… either way, though :)

Not on account of not having received an e-mail yet. Last year, one relative received an acceptance message in one wave. Another received the good news later on – days later. Draw no inferences from the lack of messages in your in-box.

does anyone know how long the snail mail letters take? i live in LA… how long has it taken in past years? forgive my ignorance, all i can assume is that it takes shorter than it would from new york; i’ve never gotten mail from ohio

i meant LA as in los angeles, not louisiana*

I’m assuming that it should get to you no later than Wednesday, but probably even sooner. I’m in North Carolina and I’m really hoping that I get mine tomorrow, I don’t think I could wait another day.
Good luck!

Aaaahhh, I’m so impatient!

Sunday bloody Sunday, Sunday bloody Sunday
The mail don’t run on Sunday
Sunday bloody Sunday,
I really wish it was Monday…

This is what the anxiety has done to me -_____-

It’s Monday! I will be so disappointed if it doesn’t come in the mail today. . . then again, I will be even more disappointed if it does come in the mail today but it’s a rejection letter. I’m freaking out!

hang in there, tellmenow! hope you get a letter today and that it’s good news!

A few quick clarifications:

1) Yes, paper decision letters were mailed on Friday.

2) If you are an international student and have not received an email with your decision, contact Joel Presti.

3) All applicants in the US (including foreign students currently attending high school here), should expect to receive their decisions by paper mail only. However, a small number of domestic applicants have received email notifications, on account of being invited to a special admitted student program.

4) If you have received an acceptance letter without a financial aid award (and you applied for aid), please contact the Financial Aid Office. They are likely missing some required paperwork for your financial aid package.

D just got her acceptance here in GA–with a $15,000 a year scholarship! She was unsure about it, but I think this may give her a nudge. Especially sweet after getting wait listed at Kenyon!

Some stats:
ACT: 31
GPA (unweighted): 4.0
Taking four APs this year, but no scores yet
No SAT subject tests
Extracurricular: Yearbook editor, cross country, Ultimate, works as student volunteer at local elementary school 10 hours a week, spent a month in Europe last summer in intensive language program.

Visited, interviewed, etc. Good essays.

Oh my gosh, inatlga!!! That means I’ll probably have a letter when I go home today… soooo nervous :P
