I got a C+ as a semester grade in math...My school has a weird course system and this was an honors course (Accelerated Precal, its called) but still, a C+ is damn ugly, an I'm a junior.....My teacher promised to scale but he didn't. Wow. Am I severely screwed?

Again, my school has a weird course system so this is a semester course, not a year course, so no way of averaging it out with a spring grade....it will be there ........... gaaahhhh

Honestly, unless you can get your grade changed, there is not much you can do except keep your other grades up. Stressing about it (yea, easier said than done) isn't going to change the grade and all you can do is raise your other ones.

I couldn't think of a better way of relieving the pain of receiving a bad grade than making a post on this forum.

I think you have already expected what you will hear, so why not skip the show and go straight to the end.

yeah... just make sure to get a higher grade next semester!

i got one c+ once. i thought my world was over. i thought every (worthy) college under the sun was going to reject me. i thought i was going to end up at the community college...

but i was being foolish. a few months later, i was admitted to MIT (early action). hang in there. have hope.

One C+ won't kill you, especially if you do better next semester.

I have my fair share of C's on my transcript (and a couple lower than that, hehe), and I don't feel TOO screwed over. I'm even applying to an ivy. You're just fine.

See if you can retake it in the summer.

you are only screwed if you want to go into something math oriented and you were actually trying to get a good grade, because pre calc is casual. However, if you were not trying whatsoever or you have no interest in math then don't stress.

At least it wasn't a C+ in C++.

atleast u got a C+ i failed math.. make u feel better?

Colleges will appreciate it if they see improvement, try harder this semester.

A C+ isn't the end of the world. I probably have one right now. So go eat some Ben and Jerry's, read a good book, and then start studying to bring all of your grades up next semester to make up for it.

^ Ben and Jerry's are yummy

Not as yummy as cake, especially ice cream cake :D

I got a C+ in US History sophomore year. Not the end of the world

^ ice cream cakes taste so goood!!!!
