i think scholarhip recipients get notified later. i'm not sure. i plan to call them on monday to ask. and i think i read somewhere on the website that diff. scholarships are mailed out at diff. times. which is really annoying.

uh, one of my friends got the scholarship in the acceptance package, *** is that?

hey, i got accepted to rutgers to all the schools i applied to in new brunswick and newark. i just did a random check yesterday on the website and i found out i was accepted 2 days ago. i got it in the mail today with the acceptance certificate. they don't tell u any scholarship info yet. i guess they'll tell later. it's rolling admissions basically so they can tell ya anytime. my friend did early decision all the way back in like october and he didn't find out yet, and i did it like 2 months later and i found out it 2 weeks. i guess maybe it depends on ur statistics. if ur really qualified, they'll tell ya quickly, if not, they'll take their time.

i got in in 4 days, but i don't have any scholarships... gimme gimme gimme

What are your stats, suman?

I got a scholarship with my acceptance mail ---- $14,000 over 4 years ($3,500/year). Not much, but atleast its something. I don't know why you guys didn't recieve any scholarship info with your acceptence latters.

did u send any financial aid stuff to them?

sry, my stats are 1230/1600 ---1810/2400 on Sat 1
Sat 2 -- 620/800 on bio 710 on chem 730 on math 2
rank is 16-18/309 ---weighted gpa is 4.2 ---unweighted like 3.4-3.5
act: 34 on math, 26 composite, 26 sci, 22 reading and english, 10 on essay

No suman, I did not send any financial aid information to them. I only sent the online application, my transcripts, and my sat scores. my stats are as follows

sat - 1250 old, 1980 new (730 Writing, 680 Math, 570 CR).
gpa - 4.76 weighted
lots of extra curriculars, awards, work experience, and volunteer experience
great essay

thanks for the double reply. idk then. u do have a higher gpa and higher sat scores. but idk what difference that would make in getting scholarship earlier. w/e. if anyone knows why ppl are getting scholarships early, let us know.

There doesn't seem to be much order in their admissions process. I sent in my application without the optional essay the day after their "suggested" date and I got my acceptance letter a week later. With the letter, I got scholarship information even though I'm sure they hadn't gotten my official SAT scores. Now I know people who've been waiting a month or so for their notice.

OOO Suman, I figured it out. The minimum SAT score you need to get a scholarship is 1250. You only seem to have a 1230, which is why you didn't, and will never recieve a scholarship from Rutgers. Here, check this out:

Hope this helps!

hey, actually i got a mail today. i got some scholarship from rutgers newark 2,000 every year. i mean my sat score is low, but i have a really good rank (top 5% about). idk

Yea, but Rutgers Newark sucks! Who wants to go there? Rutgers Newark is for all the rejects that can't make it into Rutgers New Brunswick.

can i get a scholarship if i applied after the priority deadline? i got accepted in about 2 weeks i think?

How after the deadline did you apply? I applied the day after the deadline and got a scholarship, but I know they said soemting about if you apply before the deadline you're automatically considered for all scholarships.

still didn't get an answer yet, probably they are debating if they should accept a person with my stats in lol

collegehunter, some people might be really happy to get into Rutgers Newark

Of course they would be happy. Happy that they were accepted to a college with their 1100 out of 2400 SAT score. Like I said, Rutgers Newark is for all the rejects that can't make it into Rutgers New Brunswick - Meaning all of those dumbasses that slacked off for 3 1/2 years in high school and then decided to do some real work with half a year remaining.
