Just Got Into Syracuse U!!!!!

but i doubt im going...can anyone help me by providing me some information about what to expect....from the school and surroudning areas...Thank You

That is kind of weird.

I talked to an admissions couselor last week. They said that they will furnish admission decisions by Mid-March

^^^ i know right? i got an email from Syracuse University with a link to my acceptance letter. It looks legitament, the email also stated that all corresponding documents will be mailed in a packet.

may i ask you your stats?
and are you a junior transfer?

Junior Level Transfer--
Stats
GPA -3.9
EC's-Internship at Law Office for the past two years
Major- Economics
Essay- BS'ed it

well atleast youre honest

I went to Syracuse and I am one of the few people who found it wasn't for me. I know many people who loved it there though. It was too rural, cold and snowy for me. It is a pretty big party school and I found many of the students too much like the kids I wanted to get away from at my H.S. I transferred out.

That is just my take on it. I'm sure you will get others who respond favorably.

Lily Moon thanks...thats your AIM SN...i want to ask you some questions

Lilymoon is right. apart from geograhical factors...
the school is big....but not that acclaimed. Their business school is a disaster.
though...they do have some good programmes...but overall the school doesn't stand out at all when compared to NY universities like Rochester, Columbia, Cornell & NYU.

Honestly...spending 44K at SU is worth nothing for future.

pakiboy, I wouldn't say it's worth nothing.

BlackRepublican - feel free to PM me if you would like to ask me questions.

I currently attend SU. It really depends on what program that you applied to and were accepted to. If it's Newhouse, VPA, Architecture, or maybe even Whitman this probably is the place for you. If you have any more questions please feel free to message me and I'll do my best to answer your questions.

whitman is not a good business school.... sorry to say that....
