So this is my situation: When I applied to UC's in November, I accidentally only applied to UCI because I'm stupid and didn't know you had to choose all your schools and majors in just 1 application (I thought they were seperate like CSU's). So for the 3 other UC's I applied to, it was through a written request. In that written request, I never specified what school I wanted at UCSD, I just said wanted my major as psychology.

I'm not sure what to do now. Would there be a problem?

You can’t possibly have gotten into UCSD without also getting into one of the colleges there. So it’s only a problem if you don’t think you’ll be happy at the one you were admitted into.

so they probably just picked any random school for me? I should probably look around on the site. thank you.

Yeah; they say that if you don’t state your preferences they put you in whatever college has space. It should be in your acceptance letter itself…

I checked online and it said letters would come out on april 10th.

sorry to sound dumb, but do the different schools actually matter?

Really? The letter is up on the site for me…

Anyway, yes, the different colleges do matter. You live in different dorms, have different required courses, that kind of stuff.

When I logged in I just had that “welcome to UCSD” photo and some stuff I kinda skimmed through. Was that it? And I guess the letter part is just some additional informaton yep…

That was it. The college was in the second sentence on mine.

thank you, I will check now =)

I just checked it and it says “No College”. Wow… I should make some phone calls.

Lucky, maybe they will let you pick your college?
