Just got LSAT Score, Where To Apply?

Just got my results from Oct LSAT, first-time taker, 172, very happy with that!

So my stats look like this:

Arizona State University (National Merit Scholar), Major: Classics, Latin Literature Emphasis, LSAC GPA: 4.03 (but I have a few B+'s sprinkled in there, balanced out by A+'s), and I also have two W's on my transcript, both because I was an idiot in my earlier years and decided just to withdraw when I could've easily gotten a late drop, not because of any academic failures)

Extra Curriculars:

Tutored at an inner-city school 15 hrs a week during junior year
Taught introductory Latin class to a group of high schoolers for the past two years
Co-founded Classics Club at my school
Worked in pro shop at golf course freshman, and sophomore summers
Interned at a small law firm in my home town during junior year summer

So now it's full speed ahead at figuring out exactly where to apply. I tell ya, I'm strongly considering applying to GW's ED/Scholarship program....money is certainly a concern for me. But if I get in there, I'd certainly hate that feeling of never really knowing where else I could've gotten in. Are there any schools you would specifically recommend where you think I could get money?

Can anyone suggest a range of schools I should consider...looking to go back to the east coast from out here in AZ, but certainly open to other regions.

Right now I am considering applying to: Columbia, Penn, UVA, Georgetown, GW, UMD

Chances at those? Others to consider? Thanks, anything would be really appreciated!

Everything besides HYS is close to a lock, given you have decent LOR's and essays. Of course nothing is a given in the wild game of law school admissions, but you're chances are extremely good. As for HYS, Yale and Stanford are too unpredictable, they look for a lot from EC's and they could go either way. Harvard matches up much better with your stats, they're more of a numbers school than the other two. So while not quite a "lock" like some of the other schools, I'd say your chances of getting in are extremely good. As for money, I'd imagine most of the T14 schools would offer you some, with the lower ones offering a substantial amount. My advice would be to apply to as many of the T14's as you can see yourself going to (as in, only apply to places where you wouldn't aboslutely hate living at for the next 3 years), you never know which school is going to throw a lot of money at you to get you to attend, and in the end, that money will FAR outweigh the $60 or so it will cost to apply.

Wow, you seem to be posting this everywhere. I am all for looking for validation, back pats, and confidence boosters, but I think you might be going a little overkill on this one.

That said, grats on the score and apply wherever you want. You should be solid.

Hah....fair enough...i'm done; to be honest though, I really would've sold myself short if not for this sort of thing, so it did alot of good for me...and yea, just habit for me to post here, LSD, and TLS...
