Just Got my PSAT's Back

i also got a 206 (wednesday test)

I got a 216/CA

I had a total of 10 wrong on the PSAT (7 wrong in WR, 3 in CR) BUT 9 of those are "misbubbles." I had the right answer marked in my booklet but somehow the answer sheet read a different answer. Is there anyway to get it re-graded?

Also, did i make Semi?

Semi last year was 219 [that's what I heard at least] for CA, so I don't think so?
It'll go down 10-20 points at most...

240...woot! (Probably a fluke, though.)

I got a 214:

CR: 65
Math: 80
Writing: 69

I was expecting to get so much higher in the writing. I'm really disappointed about my CR results and my writing results but it turns out that the collegeboard is using a new scale for the writing exams. You can expect the semifinalist scores to drop by about 4 points(and maybe even more because this change in the 'curve' greatly affects those that did the best) for every state. Maybe I'll get NMSF if I'm really lucky (I live in Illinois and the min. score last year was 218). Here is the original article from the collegeboard website:

Information about 2006 PSAT/NMSQT Writing Skills Scores

For Students Who Took the PSAT/NMSQT in Both 2005 and 2006

Did your writing skills score increase as much as you had hoped? If not, read on.
Don't worry, your writing skills may have actually improved more than you think. This is because, for the first time since the introduction of the new SAT, the 2006 PSAT/NMSQT writing skills section is based on the new SAT writing section (rather than the old SAT II Writing Subject test). As a result, your 2006 PSAT/NMSQT writing skills score is not on the same scale as your 2005 writing skills score. (PSAT/NMSQT critical reading and math scores have always been on the new SAT scale, and now, writing skills scores are as well.)

So, for the sake of comparison, what would your score have been on the old scale?
Generally speaking, add 3-4 points to your 2006 writing skills score to see what it would have been on the old scale.

looks like CA got their scores. I guess my school just doesn't want to pass them out yet. YET.

I know I've asked this 3 times already, but for those who got their 10/21 (Saturday) PSAT's back, how many no errors for writing were there?

Atomicbomb22,
Thanks for this most interesting info! DS's W score went up signifcantly, so I find this a most fascinating tidbit!
