Yes @CaliMex - best view IMHO of any BS of a golf course and coaches can arrange for your golf lesson at Pebble. Envious of the California climate! Oh well…there is always college to hope for :bz
@Golfgr8 DS is already talking about coming back south for college!!! Trying not to push it but hope springs eternal!!!
@Golfgr8 If this is her first winter in NE it’s too bad. This weather has not been fun - no snow means that the good part of the winter is missing!! She won’t know how nice winter can be.
This winter hasn’t been snowy (yet), but it’s been SO cold — really back to October. Sunday is supposed to be ugly with snow, ice and rain, but fortunately Monday’s cold snap looks like a one-day affair…back to normal (20s) by Tuesday. They entice you to come to school in beautiful NE but it’s cold for 80% of the school year.
Yes, let’s make this process even more complicated.
We prayed and prayed and prayed our desert-loving son would choose a school on this side of the divide, but he disappointed us once again and chose a cold, gray prison instead. As I always say: Kids. Can’t control 'em.
To the OP @ your original comment - it’s always a positive in my book to hear from a coach. Many of the BS coaches wear multiple “hats” - teacher, dorm parent, AO, multi-sport coach, etc. A couple of the smaller schools we visited had only a part time/non-faculty coach and we never heard from them. So, we welcomed the opportunity to get a call - it’s always a good sign . You may want to use this moment to ask more questions about the program, insights about their view of kiddo’s highlight videos/stats, as well as to feel them out for their genuine interest in your kid.
Remember: The BS world is a small world. You never know who(m) you may run into down the road, on the field, or in the classroom. One coach you speak with this year may be on the hunt for another position and end up at YOUR school next year! Bee Nice & Beeee positive :bz
