It's hard to judge if I did well or not. He really didn't show his feelings :P I mean he raised his eyebrows when I outlined my research projects and smiled, I don't know if that's because hes impressed or he thinks im an idiot. He loved cricket too though and I've been playing for 9 years so we talked for like 10 minutes about that which was great :) At the end when I asked if I did well he said "don't worry, the interview is just there to learn more about you so it can only benefit you. I'll call to congratulate you if you get in, and email me if you have more queries". How important are these interviews? Do you think he liked me judging by his final comments (I'm generally quite a good public speaker)? How did all your interviews go?

It’s sounds like it went okay. You would know better than we possibly could… He might think that is was weird that you asked him if you did well afterwards, though.

was your’s a group interview or individual. I have mine in…30 mins!!! and i think its a gorup interview.

I had my interview today, and my interviewer also told me not to worry at the end of it.

I had my interview too last week and it went alright. I think I could have been more responsive to some of the things he said, but he always talked more than me/moved onto the next subject before I could interject about something! lol. But I think my interview overall was okay… Could have been better. The guy was really nice though.

I don’t think most alumnus interviews are purposely looking for reasons to write something bad about you; they are looking for reasons as to why the school should take you based on how you would fit into their community. (At least, that is what my Penn interviewer told me.) Unless you came off as a horrible person to the interviewer, then the interview can only support you, not bring you down.

yeah, you guys shouldnt worry about it. My interviewer told me the purpose was primarily informative, for the applicant to learn more about the school. I really did learn a lot about Penn and I really had fun. Just be yourself and relax.

how long were your interviews?
what did they ask>?
Just curious

1hour and 20minutes for mine. We couldn’t talk on forever because he had more interviews lined up about 30-60 minutes after mine. My appointment was for 12:00pm, so he originally estimated it would end at 1:00pm since he wanted to eat lunch at Houston Hall afterward before his next interview.

They just ask stuff like Why Penn, a little about your family, what are things you’re passionate about. My guy didn’t have any piece of paper with specific questions because I think he’s been doing alumnus interviews for years. I know a guy who’s a sophomore at Penn right now that had the same interviewer as I did. They usually don’t ask you any tricky questions… they only ask things you should obviously know about yourself and your reasons for going to Penn.

Sounds like it went just fine – be glad and hope for the best, mate. Good luck!
