Just how hard is it to get into the Computer Science Department as a transfer?

<p>Is CS part of the engineering school?</p>

<p>My stats:</p>

<p>3.4 GPA in graded COLLEGE coursework (I'd be applying as a transfer student)
58 credits
100+ Community Service Hours
Eagle Scout
Two years of JROTC
White Male</p>

<p>Apparently a BA in CS (what I'd most like) is the College of Natural Sciences, how tough is this to get into?</p>

<p>I think the general rule of thumb is about a 3.5 to get into UT period. A specific major can be more competitive. I’m sure someone else will have a bit more concrete info though.</p>

<p>Ah well I’m close, maybe after this semester I can bring it up a little bit. As I stated in a different post I’m at A&M Galveston right now.</p>
