are senior year mid-reports? Are they important enough to overshadow your (10th-11th GPA), extracurriculars, SATS, essays? Just how much are they weighed? Admissions DO look at the courseload, right? Like let's say a senior A took 5 classes (none APs or honors) and got a 4.0, but senior B took 6 AP classes along with three reg (graphics design, journalism, tennis) and maintained a 3.5 GPA?

ahh....first semester....

Different colleges handle it differently. Some colleges do not make a decision until they have the mid-year report. Probably most colleges only use them for borderline cases. Remember that everything goes into the mail room and someboby may have to go find them if they are necessary for a decision. Toors in "Admissions Confidential" was at Duke and she indicated that it worked that way there. If they want the mid-year report and can't find it, they may call your GC.

They would consider the curriculum just as they do for all the other years.
